The Ultimate Prep: My Guide To Being The Best Prep Ever

OK guys bare with me here... I'm new to this whole blogging thing.
First off, let me introduce myself. My name is Cara and I am a junior in high school. I pride myself as being one of the preppiest people in my school and absolutely love my style. My life is all about school, friends, my family, and of course my preppy style.
I have been a preppy kid since birth, starting off with my mother dressing me in her own versions of what she thought wad adorable and stylish back in the day. As the years have gone on, I have evolved into what I consider the ultimate prep and I want to be able to share this with all of you.

Now lets get to the fun part of all of this: the clothes
There are certain things that every prep should have in their closet. Preps are notorious for having classic and clean clothes, normally bordering on the conservative side (yet still being stylish). These clothes are so important for maintaing your preppy lifestyle, and will make sure that you look the best at all times.
The Preppy Staples include:
1. A blue blazer: EVERY prep should have one... they go with almost all outfits and make you the ultimate prep.
2. Oxford Shirts: clean cut in classic colors and styles.... they go with many different outfits ranging from a nice pair of jeans and an oxford, blazer, and cute pair of flats, or with a skirt, an oxford, cable sweater or cardigan, tights, flats or boots.
3. Khakis: Clean cut with the right fit, these can absolutely make an outfit. Wear them in the summer with flats or sandals and a nice shirt or in the winter with flats and a blazer (see why these are so important), and be considered the ultimate prep by all of your friends.
4. Flats: try wearing Tory Burch, Chanel, Ralph Lauren, or J.Crew in varying colors and make an outfit complete.
5. Headbands: Can practically be worn with every outfit in every type of hair. A nice headband can complete an outfit. Make sure to keep them understated (maybe with a small bow or a fabric pattern) and classy to make sure that they do not overpower your fabulous face.

Remember to be a prep your clothes do not have to be very expensive. All these staples are wardrobe necessities so don't be afraid to invest a little money in them, because chances are they will last a very long time... I know I have had some of the same pieces of clothes and accessories forever (I'm not even kidding about that one).
